This role supports to the Senior Internal Communications Officer in implementing the university’s Internal Communications Strategy and delivering effective communications, campaigns and events as we deliver our ambitious Strategy 2030. 

You will take a lead on planning for, organising and delivering high quality events for our staff and students, including our annual staff awards, working with partners across the university as well as external organisations to deliver engaging, informative and relevant sessions. 

In addition, you will work on identifying and creating engaging content to maximise staff and student engagement using existing channels and processes and developing new channels to help build an informed and engaged staff and student community at the University of Greenwich.  

You will be responsible for creating, coordinating and tracking communications & events plans to ensure they link to our vision and values and are delivered to agreed timescales. You will drive and support the development of people recognition initiatives, celebrating our staff and student achievements across our community.  We are looking for someone who has excellent organisation skills and who will act as a champion across the university, while paying attention to detail when organising logistics and supporting content for inspiring university events and videos.  

You will work closely with the Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer, the Human Resources team and senior leaders to support the buy in of the staff engagement plan and will quickly establish a strong internal network across the university.  You will also work with and support our student ambassadors, helping them to deliver communications that meet our brand standards and align to our strategic priorities.
