We are a large, inclusive university committed to delivering our vision of Education Without Boundaries. We have a supportive, friendly, and dynamic working environment and are looking for a talented Events Coordinator to work closely with the Event Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced events professional to work within a busy Events Team coordinating the delivery of large-scale student recruitment events across three campuses and online. You will also be responsible for planning event logistics for off-site Higher Education student recruitment fairs and coordinating and a programme of support webinars.

You will be responsible for line managing the Events Assistants and junior members of the team and you should have experience of using project management tools to plan and deliver large events. You will be expected to coordinate vital elements of on-the-day delivery which will include briefing and supervising teams of student ambassadors and staff volunteers. In addition to handling the logistics and coordination of events, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of event collateral and marketing materials to continually improve recruitment and on the day event experience. 

Requirements for this Events Assistant position; Minimum two-years experienced in an event focused role, Good knowledge of student recruitment Line management or supervisory experience, Commitment to the development and maintenance of quality customer care service, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Data analysis experience including the use of data within both pre-and post-event reports, Highly organized with project delivery experience.

The successful candidate will be required to work open days and other student recruitment events, working flexibly including evenings and occasional weekends. The role is based at our Avery Hill Campus in Eltham, although on-the-day events support may be required at our Greenwich and Medway campuses.
