Description

We are seeking Postdoctoral associates (Postdocs) who are passionate about Systems, Networks, Machine-learning, and Web to join Dr. Yasir Zaki's lab (www.yasirzaki.net). Some of the research questions that excite us as a group include topics in: (i) web measurements and optimizations; (ii) networked systems; (iii) machine learning; (iv) data science; (v) GPT-3 and CLIP (OpenAI); (vi) Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a PhD in Computer Science, or any other related field. The position requires experience with at least one of the following: systems, machine learning, web optimizations. Relevant skills include strong knowledge of machine learning and OpenAI, integration of solutions into existing systems, web scraping, statistical analysis, and data management and collection. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. Strong proof of publications is required in top-tier venues such as: Sigcomm, NSDI, Mobicomm, OSDI, Mobisys, Usenix atc, IMC, WWW (WebConf), AAAI, IJCAI, CHI, CSCW, UIST.

The position provides salary higher than internationally competitive rates for postdoctoral positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for children), together with full health insurance and retirement contributions. The UAE does not levy income tax.
