Applications are invited for a permanent post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor within UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice.

UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice seek to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Social Work. We are seeking candidates who can make a significant contribution in a core area of Social Work, such as child welfare and protection, adult services, or probation. We will also consider applications from candidates with expertise in any other substantive area of Social Work.

Applicants must hold a PhD in social work or a relevant social science discipline at the time of appointment and a professional qualification in social work. They must registered as social workers with CORU (the health and social care professionals council for Ireland) or be eligible to secure CORU registration. They will be expected to contribute primarily to teaching on the Professional Master of Social Work (PMSW) and may be asked to contribute to other teaching in the School. They will also be expected to prepare social work students for practice and support them on placement, carry out research and publish the results in appropriate academic outlets and to carry out administrative functions as identified by the Head of School.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar salary scale: €55,951 - €88,601 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
