Our Digital Strategy is a key enabler to achieving this vision and sets out an ambitious programme in digital transformation with a key theme around data, process and decision support.

This is a senior role providing a cross departmental service, knowledge base and design authority around institutional data assets. The role has responsibility for architectural oversight of our data landscape, supporting the work of the wider University to deliver on the future data and learning analytics requirements, contributing toward both the University and Digital strategic goals.

The Data Architect will lead in the production of the Data strategy, principles, and framework, working with relevant teams to ensure its implementation and compliance.

They will act as owner and technical authority on the data architecture of the university's IT solutions. Providing appropriate oversight and direction, to the teams tasked with their development and maintenance. Analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing and proposed data elements, recognising opportunities to minimise duplication and improve existing processes. At all times ensuring they are fit for purpose, robust and aligned with the university's digital roadmap and strategy.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in either computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
