Grade 3: £21,630 - £24,285 per annum, pro-rata
Fixed Term Until 31st August 2023
Part time, 10 hours a week (minimum) for 20 weeks, over 52 weeks

THE POST- Study Support Assistant
We have a vacancy within our Disability Team for a reliable and committed individual to carry out the role of Study Support Assistant.

Reporting to the NMPH Team Coordinator our Study Support Assistants provide support to disabled students on referral from the Disability Service. Duties including taking notes on behalf of students, providing proofreading support, assisting with mobility requirements and providing sighted guidance for students with a visual impairment. 

The successful candidate should have the following:

• HNC or equivalent, or relevant experience
• Higher English, or relevant experience
• Experience of supporting learners in Further or Higher education
• Experience of working with adults with disabilities
• Excellent literacy, IT, administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent note-taking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds and with diverse communication styles and requirements
• Ability to work independently and under own initiative
