The Civil & Urban Engineering Program at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking applications for a Post-doctoral position in the area of Geotechnical Engineering.

Candidates with expertise in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: advanced field and laboratory centrifuge geotechnical testing, computational modeling of geotechnical systems and foundations, geohazards risk assessment and management via remote sensing, geo-environmental engineering and energy geotechnics, and artificial intelligence applications in geotechnical engineering.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Knowledge and experience in Geotechnical Engineering
• Skills in interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
