Plymouth Marjon University has a proud and respected heritage and is regularly ranked in the top universities in the UK for student satisfaction, student life and teaching quality. Most recently, Marjon’s size, structure and ethos has provided a platform for successful growth; with a burgeoning research reputation, fast-developing new programmes in health education and a commitment to digitalisation, the University is at an exciting point in its development. Over the last five years, the University has moved 39 places up The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide league table, to 80th position.

The University is seeking a committed, talented and positive Vice-Chancellor able to develop a compelling, inspirational but achievable vision for the future of Marjon, with students at its heart. The Governors are keen to appoint a candidate who will enhance the University’s many longstanding strengths, as well as bringing a set of skills to meet future challenges and opportunities.

Candidates will have an appetite for civic engagement and for innovation, and will be able to demonstrate a values-based approach to how they inspire and engage.
