The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory in the Divisions of Science and Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on projects focused on understanding how stem cells transform to organs/tissues and express their functions by applying nano/microengineering.

Research in the Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory focuses on the study of organogenesis and early embryogenesis, using stem cell biology, fluorescent cell imaging, bioinformatics and nano/microengineering, and we will apply obtained fundamental understandings for regenerative medicine, disease modelling and drug development.

The successful applicant will join a number of fascinating projects on engineering novel approaches to understand organogenesis and early embryogenesis. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent. Excellent experimental skills relevant to the project (in particular device design and fabrication, stem cell culture and analysis, and bioinformatics) are required.  The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students, ensuring the candidate learns valuable skills in writing manuscripts and grant proposals, advising fellow researchers, and establishing collaborations across disciplines.
