Role Description
About the Role
Management of Disaster Risk and Societal Resilience (MADIS) is an internationally funded project through Belmont Forum and EPSRC. Further information about the project can be found here.
Within the context of WEF nexus, this role will design the resilience assessment and enhancement scheme with the focus on energy infrastructural perspective in African context considering natural disasters risks, and collaborate with other researchers of MADIS project to deliver the integrated risk and resilience management models. You will also work on another two projects in the centre which respectively aim to assess advanced energy systems techniques, and optimal plan green hydrogen systems for agriculture use. It is very likely that the project will involve international travel to our partner countries in Africa or project partners in the USA and Brazil.
About You
You will be educated to doctoral level in resilience enhancement for energy systems and have knowledge of disaster risk management and resilience analysis. With excellent team-working and inter-personal skills, you will have peer reviewed journal publication record.
