The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in its Computer Engineering program with a focus in Computer Networking. Candidates should have a strong R&D expertise in one or more areas of computer networking including Security, Networking Technologies, Hardware and Software Stacks spanning Application, Transport, and Network layers, Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence for Networking, Wireless Networks, Network Function Virtualization, End-to-End Network Programmability, and Storage Area Networks. Candidates with a strong record of interdisciplinary research are preferred. We particularly welcome applications from female scholars and members of traditionally underrepresented groups. The successful candidate will be affiliated with the NYUAD Center for Cyber Security (https://sites.nyuad.nyu.edu/ccs-ad/), which has close collaborations with the NYU Center for Cyber Security (https://cyber.nyu.edu/) and NYU Wireless (https://wireless.engineering.nyu.edu/).

Successful candidates will receive a generous startup package, as well as renewable research funding to hire research assistants and postdocs and will also have access to internal funding. It is also expected that the successful candidate will become Associated Faculty of NYU New York that affords research privileges and access to programs and facilities at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in New York.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and must have demonstrated an ability to develop and lead high-quality research and attract competitive external funding.

We anticipate that successful candidates can start the appointment and relocate to Abu Dhabi in the academic year 2023-2024, subject to final budget approval.
