About This Opportunity

Located on our vibrant St Lucia campus, the UQ Art Museum is a site for progressive and contemporary creative enquiry. Our work speaks to the distinct context of the Art Museum’s place within the University. We aim to connect each visitor with new ideas in creative practice, and with learning in its many forms.

We are now pleased to be inviting applications for our next Director – a truly unique and highly-regarded opportunity. Our Director leads the vision and operations of the UQ Art Museum, ensuring that the organisation provides teaching, learning and research outcomes of the highest possible standard. This role galvanises UQ staff, students and broader communities around the critical role of the arts and humanities in higher education. It takes a lead role in connecting the Art Museum to the critical discourses of all disciplines at UQ. Additionally, it develops and connects the University’s various cultural assets to provide exceptional campus experiences and enhanced research, teaching and learning offerings.
