At Northumbria, we embrace tomorrow. We pursue new thinking, forge new partnerships, create and exchange new knowledge, and find new solutions. In management studies more broadly, our Responsible Business Seminar series, Sustainable Working Futures, and the launch of our Baltic Sessions has attracted internationally recognised speakers.Supporting sustainable and responsible business growth is central to our work in organisational studies, human resource development and learning, and critical management studies.

Our knowledge exchange (KE) portfolio is continuing to proliferate as we develop strong partnerships to deliver a force for good. We have a strong record of collaborative and contract research, CPD, consultancy and KTPs across the public, private and third sectors. Among our most significant initiatives is our pioneering work with Mersey Care on developing restorative just cultures (over 1,200 people from 25 NHS Trusts have completed this programme so far), our leadership and career development work with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and our leading role in the delivery of the Help to Grow Management programme, supporting small and medium sized businesses to boost their business performance, resilience and growth.
