Job Description

We have a position for Research Assistant in Centre for Next Generation Logistics, National University of Singapore (NUS).

C4NGL offers research expertise in simulation modelling and optimization in logistics and supply chain management systems. C4NGL’s role will be to deliver leading-edge systems design, research and developmental capabilities in general business, particularly in logistics and supply chain management or engineering related industries, for Singapore and Asia.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team striving to achieve excellence in research and developments for the next generation logistics.

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated research assistant to join our team to work on logistics industry projects and support C4NGL investigators in their project management efforts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computing, engineering, or related fields  
• Work with different teams to translate physical models into the simulation models.
• Familiar with multiple coding platforms (Python, C++, Javascript, Matlab, C#, etc)
• Familiar with Stella architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven, strong team spirit and self-exploration/learning habit.

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge on the following subjects:
  • Logistics and Transportation, Supply Chain Network, Manufacturing.
  • Simulation Modelling.
  • Statistical Modelling.
  • Data Mining and Analytics.
  • Operations Research.
