The Chair of Inorganic Chemistry I offers a project position as

Research Associate (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible.  The position entails 50 % of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited until September 30, 2025. The period of employment is governed by § 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG). 

Tasks: Synthesis and characterization of porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). The further task is the development of instrumentation for in situ time-resolved Powder X-ray Diffraction in parallel to the adsorption of gases and vapours in porous MOFs. The instrumentation will be commissioned at P23 beamline of PETRA III synchrotron (DESY, Hamburg). Writing beamtime applications, manuals and analysis of the measured data belong to the task of the research associate.

Requirements: very good university degree in chemistry or experimental physics; solid knowledge in X-ray diffraction techniques, good PC knowledge, the knowledge of Python programming language and CAD-3D software is advantageous; experience in the use and service of scientific-technical devices; high self-motivation; good command of written and spoken English; capacity for teamwork and organizational talent; willingness to business trips.
