Applications are invited for a temporary appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Psychology at the UCD School of Psychology.

The post is estimated as a 9-month contract, replacing a permanent member of the School whilst on leave. Applicants must have a PhD or Doctorate in psychology, as well as teaching and research experience relevant to the School's current research theme of Affective, Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience. The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching directions.

Successful applicants will contribute to the School's graduate and undergraduate programmes, and to research activity within the School. UCD is a dynamic research-intensive university that is at the forefront of research and teaching activities across a wide range of disciplines. The UCD School of Psychology has identified the following strategic research themes:

  • Group Processes and Social Inclusion
  • Psychological Health, Wellbeing and Resilience

The School has very good facilities for experimental and applied research and research centres/groups include the UCD Neuropsychology Lab and the Perception Lam. The School has extensive interdisciplinary research links to a number of university teaching hospitals and other service providers in the disability and health sectors. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar Salary scale: €54,848 - €86,235 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
