Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 516339), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in medical science or a related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant teaching experience. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to educational innovation and support for students, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and experience. A portfolio of programme administration, student advisory, practicum design and delivery, and/or quality assurance and programme accreditation is highly preferred.

The appointee is expected to contribute to the overall teaching effectiveness in a wide spectrum of medical, public health and global health/development courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. On top of undertaking teaching for MBBS, BASc(GHD) and MPH programmes, the appointee will contribute to student advisory, programme administration and management, curriculum and pedagogical development, quality assurance, accreditation exercise and development of academic partnerships etc.  He/She will exercise academic oversight on the experiential learning components in MPH curriculum; formulate and implement practicum procedures; and establish and maintain partnership with academic, industrial, governmental, and non-governmental practicum sites.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
