Working across organisational boundaries and disciplines, come and join us as an Innovation Bid Manager to play a pivotal role.

Your role

You’ll be joining a university with an exceptionally strong record of delivering impact from research. Your work will build on this reputation and could touch pioneering developments in cancer immunology, respiratory medicine, next generation diagnostics, clean energy and sustainability, marine, photonics and electronics and computer science.

You will:

Manage a portfolio of strategic innovation propositions to secure funding from a range of partners

Work with academic teams and industry partners to articulate the wider economic and societal benefits of research and innovation activities

Use your strong organisational and inter-personal skills to succeed in large, collaborative teams

Experience of working in a research funding environment is valuable but not essential, you will have experience of developing successful compelling proposals for Government and other public funding. You will also have the ability to understand the breadth of research at the University, and how to shape and influence the development of new propositions.

We’ll also look to you to develop a detailed knowledge of the UK research and innovation landscape is and build networks with potential industry partners and other external stakeholders, such as investors, social enterprise companies and local and central government.

If you have a relevant degree or professional qualification and a keen interest securing funding for research and innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

In return, you can look forward to an excellent benefits package and a flexible home/office hybrid model supporting real work/life balance.
