Role Description

About the Role

Since 2017, our presence in the Apprenticeship Levy market has grown at significant pace, resulting in our School becoming one of the largest Senior Leader Apprenticeship providers in the UK. As a result, the school has created a new post ‘Head of Apprenticeships Business Development’ to own, manage and drive the commercial interest in our complete portfolio at corporate level, widening our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Our vision is for our new Head of Apprenticeships Business Development, to build and own one central touchpoint with our corporate clients, representing our full suite of Apprenticeship Levy options, sharing our client needs with our School Executive and ensuring full exposure, uplift in opportunities and a more seamless experience for our clients.

The role will build relationships directly with our corporate clients whilst also liaising internally within Cranfield with our central Apprenticeships Office, wider business development teams, Grant Thornton partners, the Cranfield Executive Development team, and our Course Directors.

About You

The Head of Apprenticeships Business Development will take ownership of key client opportunities, such as bids and tenders, new relationships, current clients seeking a portfolio level touchpoint, representing the full Cranfield School of Management apprenticeship portfolio to drive cross-portfolio commercial opportunities.

We would like someone agile, creative, with professional business development skills, combined with a truly ‘customer first’ mind-set. You will set a gold standard in managing corporate relationships, ensuring full exposure for the Cranfield apprenticeship portfolio, and creating a more seamless experience for our clients.

Given the breadth of Cranfield University School of Management and wider Cranfield University, collaborative working and communication and influencing skills (both verbal and written) will be critical to the success of this role. Cranfield is a great place to work, our employees regularly quote our people our key strength. If this is important to you too, we could be the place for you.

Ideally, you will have experience in corporate key account management in the education sector, with experience promoting higher education programmes to corporates.

In return, the successful applicant will have exciting opportunities for career development in this key position, representing a prestigious institution and joining a supportive team environment.
