About the Role:
Applications are invited for a Digital Academy Manager within the VP Health Office. As the successful candidate, you will be pivotal in supporting the newly-appointed Dean for Digital Education in establishing and operationalizing the Faculty’s Digital Academy for Health Education and its associated strategy. The postholder will be an essential conduit between Queen Mary Online’s Learning Accelerator and the Faculty, ensuring cooperative working in the identification and development of digital education opportunities. With line management responsibility for the Executive Education Support Officer, this role will be critical in coordinating the development of new opportunities, designing (with the Dean) and implementing appropriate processes and governance for programme development, and supporting communities of practice in digital education both for academic as well as technical support staff.
As a successful candidate, you will have a degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience. You will have relevant project management experience with a track record on successfully delivering on successfully delivering to time, budget, and objectives. You will demonstrate high level of experience managing relationship with external stakeholders and evidence of administrative experience.
We are looking for someone who depth in knowledge in digital education learning platforms and technologies and significant experience working with students and learners. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of understanding of the key factors determining a high-quality student experience.
About the Faculty:
The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD) is a highly successful faculty at Queen Mary comprising six institutes. It has a research spend of circa £100m and a research portfolio that spans from discovery and applied science, through translational research and applied health research. Our research is embedded within the local community of East London and supports FMD’s objective to produce innovative therapies and advance patient management nationally and internationally.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), indefinite, with an expected start date of August 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £38,655 - £45,479 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
