Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

Research Associate

Job scope:
The Research Associate is primarily responsible for data analysis, data processing/cleaning and drafting a report on healthcare cost inflation in Singapore. The RA will also be involved in liaising with representatives from the Life Insurance Association, and engaging in discussions with and presentations to key stakeholders. The expected start date for the role is from mid-March 2022 onwards. The project is expected to last for 1 year, and may be extended for up to 2 years.

Requirements:

  • MA/MSc in a relevant subject area (e.g. Public Health, Global Health, International Development, Business Administration, etc.), or equivalent
  • Familiarity with conducting statistical analyses using STATA and/or R statistical software
  • Ability to review research literature to synthesize and present findings
  • An understanding of Singapore's healthcare financing system is a bonus
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills in English
  • Ability to write in different formats (e.g. reports, media, academic writing)
  • Good email etiquette and ability to deal effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure, use independent judgement and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team.

The grade of appointment will be accorded based on candidate’s academic qualifications and years of relevant experience.
