Within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Macquarie- Analog Devices Laboratory (MAD Lab) uses cutting-edge design, modelling and measurement technology to continually push the circuit design capability forward in phased-array and satellite applications. MAD Lab was founded in 2018 with partner company Analog Devices (ADI) to deliver a new style of collaborative research and HDR training and has now expanded to bring advanced circuit design expertise to Australian defence projects.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering is driven by the spirit of innovation. Here we nurture the next generation of science and technology innovators. The pairing of engineering and science in a single faculty means many of our research discoveries in science see direct technological applications in engineering. We are active within many industry partnerships, commercial collaborations, and joint enterprise initiatives with government, industry and business partners.
