The Faculty Specialist Support team will act as an escalation point for specialist and complex course advice and will ensure that course knowledge is shared across Student Services to provide a seamless service to students. You will liaise and collaborate with academic and professional staff in Faculties and the Academic Services teams to maintain course knowledge. The team will also focus on student retention and experience and support University events such as Open Day, Orientation Week and enrolment sessions. The team will also work closely with Marketing to support student recruitment activities when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and probing for the facts, identifying relevant enrolment options, and selecting the most appropriate from the range of requirements or alternatives 
  • Seeking feedback from stakeholders regarding their satisfaction and perspective with enrolment support received, respond to feedback with openness and transparency 
  • Building new and productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and key influential individuals across the University
  • Developing and implementing practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
  • Striving for excellence and consulting regularly with stakeholders to clarify who requires the information, the purpose for which it is required, criteria for success and use judgement for where and when advice and recommendation is required
  • Communicating with confidence using examples and the most appropriate influencing technique for a given situation to increase understanding and support

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Knowledge of enrolment practices and processes in an education environment
