Following our excellent performance in teaching and research and strong undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment, we are seeking to make a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer appointment to expand our expertise in the area of Animal Behaviour, Animal Cognition or Animal Welfare. This post is available on a Teaching and Research role profile and will support delivery of teaching on our undergraduate degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare as well as our taught MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Candidates should have a strong research background to complement existing expertise in the Animal Behaviour, Cognition and Welfare Research group, as well as the potential to generate research income and conduct impactful research at Lincoln. The post would particularly suit a candidate in the field of Applied Animal Behaviour and/or Animal Cognition involving domestic and/or captive animals. We would therefore welcome applications from individuals with a strong research record in companion, farm, laboratory and/or zoo animal welfare, behaviour or cognition. A proven ability to teach in these areas and strong connections with animal industries and/or animal protection charities would be beneficial.

Working with us, you will join an internationally recognized research group and benefit from a stimulating, interdisciplinary and collegiate academic environment. We support excellence in teaching and research, and you will be part of a team that provides a popular portfolio of qualifications at BSc, MSc and PhD level as well as delivering high quality, impactful research in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. You will be based at University of Lincoln’s Brayford campus in the heart of a thriving, safe and friendly city, with access to research facilities in the city as well as the university’s Riseholme campus.

The University of Lincoln is a forward-thinking, energetic institution, with a substantial commitment to growing science infrastructure.
