Academic Support Centre
(Contract, Full-time position)
Starting Date: Immediate
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, no experience required. Candidate must have extensive knowledge building custom Game Engines, Engine architecture in C++, 2D and/or 3D applications, and can translate this knowledge into practical examples in the labs and able to support students working on their projects.
Appropriate software expertise may include Microsoft Visual Studio, OpenGL, Utilisation of a GUI library etc. as relevant to their area of experience. Experience operating within various production processes such as Scrum/Agile are also a plus.
Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to help and guide students with their Game Software projects. The candidate may also be required to develop/co-develop teaching materials.
Other responsibilities may include support for various project development milestones, from play testing to validating milestone rubrics and various game programming support.
The candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills. In addition, we are looking for a self-driven and responsible individual who can work well with the team.
