About the opportunity

The Professor, Education will be a leading academic of international standing within the discipline, with an exemplary record of accomplishments across the domains of teaching, learning and curriculum development; research and scholarship; community engagement and professional activities. The appointee will foster and develop the capacity of others within the College and Academic Group, undertaking a leadership role in one or more of the above domains. The appointee will teach into undergraduate and postgraduate ITE and research programs, supervise Higher Degree Research candidates, work collaboratively with schools in the Tropics and beyond, liaise with relevant organisations and stakeholders, and support the University’s Strategic Intent.

Preference will be given to candidates who can lead and contribute to research in the College’s strategic areas of regional, rural and remote education; Indigenous education; STEM education; Languages, Humanities and Arts education; Career and Counselling education; and/or other future-focused directions for Education.
