Research Fellow, Environmental / Civil / Chemical Engineering

Job Description

The candidate will lead water-related environmental studies for the project on waste plastics on road. This include sample collection, preparation and analysis for the organic and inorganic matters, assist in preparing project reports and meeting slides as required.

Qualifications

  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering with relevant background knowledge to the research topics as described above
  • Proficient in the following analysis/analytical equipment: IR- and Raman spectroscopes, GC-MS instruments including headspace analysis, ICP-OES and ICP-MS for heavy metal analyses, and Proficient in water-related tests including TOC, COD, IC (anion and cation)
  • Effective communication skills and experience in collaborative projects and inter-group communication
  • Ability to write and converse well in English
  • Good organisational skills and adaptability
