The Faculty of Engineering and Science offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that are widely recognised for their academic quality, innovation and close ties to the industries in which our graduates work. We aim to ensure that we equip our graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers.

The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint two Lecturers in the Chemical Engineering portfolio under one-year fixed term appointments. The successful candidates will take an important role in the delivery of teaching in this area. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We are looking for applicants with experience in Chemical Engineering with teaching knowledge in one or more of the following areas: 

Heat/Mass balances or reaction engineering

  • Process Design: systems thinking and sustainable design.
  • Development and running of design exercises
  • Safety in the Process Industries
  • Engineering of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG, e.g. Pharma, Food, Cosmetics)
  • Biochemical Engineering

Preference will be given to candidates who combine excellence in teaching and a willingness to engage with the supervision of MSc level projects.
