Learning Systems & Applications

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and technical support in all activities related to technology support and technical helpdesk functions. In addition, the Executive will be involved in educational technology projects and initiatives related to enhancing teaching and learning.

Technology Training

  • Conducts technical trainings/briefings related to e-Learning authoring tools and the use of the university’s Learning Management System (LMS)

Technical Helpdesk

  • Performs technical helpdesk for the university’s Learning Management System (LMS) as well as adopted tools for teaching and learning
  • Works with colleagues to provide enhancements and resolution of LMS-related issues

Technology Tools

  • Investigates and recommends use of relevant e-learning tools that enhance teaching and learning
  • Deploys hardware in classrooms for teaching and learning and manage the related inventory

Online Resources

  • Develops and updates relevant technical guides and online tutorials

Job Requirements

  • Degree Holder with at least 2 years of experience in Multimedia/IT/Educational Technology or related disciplines, preferably in institutions of higher learning. Diploma Holder will be considered for senior officer position.  
  • Experience in servicing technical helpdesk is an advantage
  • Experience in conducting technical training is an advantage
  • Windows operating systems and Office Productivity suite
  • Multimedia and Web Design authoring tools
  • Learning Management Systems is an advantage 
  • Tech-savvy
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Organised, independent and meticulous with an eye for details
