About the Role

The Department of English at the University of Southampton is looking to appoint a 0.5 permanent Teaching Fellow in English Literature. The successful candidate will be able to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate modules across the curriculum, but with particular focus on the Global Literary Industries Management MA programme.

About You

The successful candidate will have completed, or be near to completing, a PhD in English, Cultural Studies, or a related discipline. They will be able to teach broadly across first year survey courses, as well as specialist modules at MA level.  You will ideally have some understanding of the cultural industries (for example, publishing, promotion, curation, or outreach), knowledge of international literary or cultural industries, and experience of teaching international student cohorts.
