About the team

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Education (PVCIE) is responsible for leading the University of Western Australia’s Indigenous Education Strategy which encompasses all areas of the University’s activities. The PVCIE provides strategic leadership of the School of Indigenous Studies and is responsible for the operations and strategic developments of the Berndt Museum, and the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. Through these entities the office has responsibility to deliver multi-disciplinary teaching and research programs and provide specialised support and services to current and future Indigenous students.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Education, you will provide research, writing, providing advice and associated tasks relating to issues of strategic relevance to UWA’s Indigenous Portfolio as identified by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Education.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive management experience including the ability to determine long term planning and key strategic direction. You will also demonstrate policy experience within government, higher education or the private sector along with sound skills in research, analysis and in the preparation of reports for senior staff.
