Do you have the creativity and passion to help develop engaging student videos?

The University of Lincoln puts students at the heart of everything we do, and the Student Life initiative is no different. We use the Student Life websiteYouTube channel and social media to share student-created content with Lincoln students.

We are looking for a graduate who can bring fresh ideas to this initiative, helping to create video content that engages students and enhances their student experience.

You will be helping to coordinate a team of student videographers, so you will need to be well-organised and a team player, with demonstrable skills in planning and communication.

We are looking for someone who is creative, has a good understanding of how to use video to communicate effectively and is willing to challenge received ways of doing things. Skills in video editing and production are essential, along with a good understanding of how to use video to engage an audience.

Whilst some hands-on video editing and filming will be required, your focus will be on supporting the students, enabling them to produce high quality video content for our YouTube channel, blog and social media, as well as media resources for online teaching and learning. You will work collaboratively with the students as they develop briefs, plan and manage shoots and edit footage. You will also help to plan their workloads, organise rotas and deliver inductions and skills development sessions for them.

The role is fixed term for 12 months, providing a recent graduate with significant experience of working in a busy and varied agency-style media production environment. As the role involves creating content for a range of purposes, you will be liaising with staff from across the University, helping you to develop your communication, collaboration and organisation skills.

You will be required to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the initiative, including some weekends and public holidays.
