An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join our well-established and popular BACP-accredited PGDip/MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, within the Department of Professional Psychology, School of Psychology. We are looking for a practitioner who currently works integratively and collaboratively with clients both online and face to face. Some work will be online but mostly you will be on our Stratford campus two days a week, providing teaching, high quality training and/or clinical supervision with some administrative duties.

You will have a masters degree in Counselling / Psychotherapy / Counselling Psychology and be registered with the relevant professional body (BACP, BABCP, NCS, BPC, UKCP, or BPS and HCPC). You will be able to evidence significant experience of the praxis of integrative psychotherapy. We are particularly interested in those who identify as researcher-practitioners and who are interested in supervising research students and helping them to publish.

The School of Psychology is one of the largest in the UK and has a long-standing leading position in the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate professional training spanning from traditional specialisms to new and pioneering pathways into psychological practice. This is complemented by a strong research profile, commitment to research informed teaching and to promoting a culture of scholarly activities across the academic year. We are a school that drives innovation and excellence in programme development and student experience.

The University of East London is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Docklands (the Counselling and Psychotherapy programme is located in Stratford). We are implementing our Vision 2028 strategy, to transform our curriculum and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success. Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.
