Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology

Applications are invited for four full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professors in Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Microelectronics Science and Engineering at School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST).

Description:

The School has four undergraduate programs, namely, Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, and Microelectronics Science and Engineering. There are three master programs, namely, Information and Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, and Electronic and Communication Engineering. The School also has a doctoral program in Information and Communication Engineering.

There are 131 faculty members in the School, including 26 professors, 38 associate professors, 4 national-level leading professors, and 2 IEEE fellows. The School has about 2, 400 undergraduates as well as more than 700 postgraduate students. The school has established some first-class scientific research laboratories including Large-scale Microwave Darkroom, Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory, Microwave Millimeter Wave Experiment Room, Electromagnetic Simulation Laboratory, Ultra-clean Room Laboratory, Reliability Laboratory, Noise Elimination Laboratory and Wind Tunnel Laboratory.

In the past five years, the school has chaired over 500 national-level research programs. The total amount of funds is more than 200 million CNY. The faculties have published 1,124 papers, including 341 SCI papers and 9 highly cited ESI papers. Over 500 patents, including 129 invention patents, were granted. Many of these patents has been applied to practical use and have brought in more than 720 million CNY.

The post is based in the modern city of Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, with easy access to public transportation, international airports, convenient stores, hospitals etc.

Main Responsibilities:

The appointee is expected to teach courses and do research in communication engineering, electronic science and technology, microelectronics science and engineering.

Person Specification:

Essential

• PhD degree in information and communication Engineering, electronic science and technology, microelectronics science and engineering, computer science and technology, or other related fields
• High proficiency in English
• Teaching ability in electronics and communication related courses
• Rich research and publication experience.

Desirable

• Postdoctoral experience
• Teaching expertise in electronics and communications or related courses
• Overseas working experience

Salary:

Annual salary of RMB 350,000-1000,000 RMB (before tax), with a settling-in allowance of 100,000+ RMB (RMB) depending on qualifications and experience;

Social Insurance;

International travel allowance of 10,000-15,000 RMB per year.
