If you are an experienced production animal clinician who is keen to dip their toe into veterinary education, then this post is for you!

We have a fixed term, part time position available and we welcome those who want flexible working patterns, perhaps to continue some clinical work alongside the post. We encourage our Lecturers to maintain clinical skills and will fund days in practice to achieve this.

You will be MRCVS registered and have comprehensive experience in production animal practice, particularly ruminants.

We aim to deliver high quality teaching and while a teaching qualification is not essential, prior experience of teaching veterinary undergraduates would be an advantage. Full training in teaching practices will be given.

Enthusiasm, adaptability and creativity are essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

In return we offer a generous salary up to £46,041 (pro rata) with a 10% salary uplift for MRCVS registered applicants, pension, relocation assistance, flexible working options including job share, access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes and supportive family friendly benefits including an excellent on-site nursery.

The University of Surrey is committed to providing an inclusive environment that offers equal opportunities for all. We value everyone in our community and are seeking to increase the diversity. Therefore, we particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups, such as people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities.
