Job Details

Due to the increasing recognition of the importance of leadership in healthcare, both globally and in the UK, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Healthcare Leadership team in the Faculty of Health Studies. The role includes teaching and student support on MSc Leadership in Health and Social Care Programmes as well as opportunities to further your research interests.

It is a very exciting time for the Healthcare Leadership team as we develop new innovations in our programmes and continue to deliver excellent teaching and learning experiences. We are seeking an enthusiastic new team member who has current, or recent, experience of teaching healthcare leadership and management, either in a clinical or academic setting at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level leading to successful student outcomes.

Main teaching duties will be to plan, deliver and assess innovative and engaging teaching activities which provide a distinctive and exceptional student experience. Using appropriate assessment methods and approaches you will provide quality, personalised and timely feedback. You will also support students undertaking their final healthcare management projects and literature reviews.

You will lead the management and delivery of modules, contributing to programme and curriculum development, and also undertake the role of Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) to provide pastoral support.

The University is keen to support researchers at all stages of their development and contributing to the research profile of the team will be encouraged.

The University offers an attractive range of staff benefits, including a discounted Gym membership.

We welcome applicants who bring a diversity of professional and/or lived experience from across communities who are currently underrepresented in our teams, including individuals from BME and LGBT+ communities, who would be positive role models for our students, colleagues and service users.

Due to the sensitive nature of this post, applicants will be required to disclose details of any criminal record including convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings and any other information, which may have a bearing on their suitability for the post. The University of Bradford is an equal opportunities employer and disclosure need not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position.

For an informal conversation about the role and where this fits into the development of the team and its work, please contact Dr Joanna Nichols j.nichols7@bradford.ac.uk
