The role
The role is all about delivering vital educational strategies as part of our wider vision as a corporation. It is varied, challenging and highly rewarding work, helping learners across London to fulfil their educational needs and aspirations.

Leading our Education Strategy Unit, you will oversee the delivery of the Education Strategy, the Cultural and Creative Learning Strategy and the Skills Strategy, working closely with a family of schools and a range of education partners.

They will support the Corporation as academy sponsor, maintaining a positive relationship with the City of London Academies Trust, supporting the Trust and ‘family of schools’ to ensure the schools are aligned to the strategic goals, and that there is strong leadership and management that delivers positive outcomes for the pupils.

The role also includes overseeing our apprentice programme, delivering an excellent standard of education for all apprentices and helping them to build successful careers.

About you
We are looking for inspiring leaders with significant experience in leading educational organisations which could include a senior leadership role at a school, local authority or academy trust. 

With sound political awareness, you will have a good understanding of complex policy areas and a range of educational agendas. Skills in negotiation, stakeholder management, project management and budget management are also essential.

You will be a keen problem-solver with strong communication skills with a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
