Research Associate (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting as soon as possible. The position is initially limited for 18 months with the option of extension until December 2025, subject to a positive evaluation. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification. The research topic is Physics-informed Human Digital Twins.
- curiosity-driven basic research of fundamental problems in the fields of human body pose estimation and tracking;
- design and analysis of algorithms for solving these problems exactly or approximately;
- implementation, empirical analysis and comparison of these algorithms with respect to real data;
- publication of findings in internationally leading conferences and journals (no teaching obligation).
Requirements: university degree (Diploma/Master) in computer science, mathematics or related disciplines; curiosity and strong interest in rigorous mathematical methods; proficiency in English and very good scientific writing skills; very good programming skills in C/C++, proven by code examples.
