The Department of Russian Language and Literature prepares teachers of Russian for elementary schools and participates in the preparation and implementation of the study programs Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in Russian Language, Primary School Teacher Training and Pre-school Teacher Training (teaching of the Russian language). The department's programs are focused on education in the Russian language on the theoretical and practical level.

The Lecturer will perform activities related to the pedagogical and professional side of the academic profession:

  • Participates in the teaching of compulsory and optional subjects focused on practical language and in the programs Russian Language for Education (bachelor's) or Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in Russian Language (follow-up master's),
  • participates in the teaching of the Russian language in the program Primary School Teacher Training,
  • participates in Russian language teaching in the Pre-school Teacher Training,
  • participates in the teaching of the Russian language optional subjects Russian for beginners 1 – 4.


Professional education, qualifications, and experience: (required)

  • Graduate of master's studies in the field of teaching Russian language and literature, Russian language at C1+ level,
  • active knowledge of English language (at least B2 level),
  • ability to teach in the Czech language (minimum level C1+ or native speaker),
  • experience with the creation and use of interactive materials in teaching,
  • experience teaching at a university (advantage),
  • experience teaching at a primary school, secondary school, or at a higher vocational school (advantage),
  • experience with project activities (advantage).

Other knowledge and skills: (required)

  • User knowledge of working on a PC: MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook),
  • knowledge of secure management of data, information, and digital content, ability to collaborate through digital technologies (MS Teams, ZOOM, etc.),
  • flexibility and willingness to participate in the development of quality undergraduate training of students,
  • good organizational and communication skills, independence, responsibility, ability to come up with own research and pedagogical projects and innovations in teaching.
