We have an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and flexible team in the University focused on growing the opportunities for commercial research and commercialisation of the University's intellectual property.

As a Business Development Manager – Innovation (BDM-I) you will provide strategic and technical support for Innovation and Commercial Research (ICR) Unit activities. With the management responsibility of two support staff, you will provide strategic advice on commercialisation (including intellectual property and commercialisation matters) and business development related to industry research to stakeholders in the UniversityYou will also seek and develop industry research and commercialisation related business opportunities for UOW.

Working with other University stakeholders, Industry, and Government you will develop various initiatives and, with colleagues, will be responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of the University IP Portfolio working with University and Industry stakeholders.  In this role you will also be a member of the Technology Transfer Committee.

Your extensive experience in two or more of the following: Industry R&D; Commercialisation; Technology Transfer; Intellectual Property; Business Development; Sales and Marketing combined with your excellent relationship building skills and the ability to negotiate the details of agreements involving intellectual property or commercialisation will be key to your success in this role.
