Embedded within our Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment, the School of Information Technology is positioned at the cutting edge of future industries. The School is also well supported by dedicated research entities in AI, Cyber Security and Intelligent Systems. Delivering programs in complementary disciplines, our mission is to carry out world-class research that makes a difference to the communities we serve and to equip tomorrow’s information technology graduates with the knowledge, skills and practical experience required for successful careers in this rapidly changing field.

The new Head of School will provide the vision and leadership to reinforce the distinctive, applied identity of the School and will be motivated by a desire to drive excellence in research and education. With delegated powers for resource management, candidates will demonstrate the intellectual, strategic and operational leadership qualities to engage colleagues and industry partners in shaping and delivering a long-term strategy that will enhance the School’s international reputation and network of relationships.
