Job Description
This full-time Research Assistant position at the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS will assist in research area of immune cell therapy of cancer. Our research focus is on translational research in the area of cancer cell therapy, mainly involving T cells and NK cells.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will be involved in wet lab experiments that require cell culture, genetic and cell engineering, flow cytometry, and mouse models. Training will be provided to those unfamiliar with the techniques needed. The Research Assistant will also do general laboratory maintenance, for example preventive maintenance of equipment, buffer preparation, and ensuring consumables are well stocked.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences or related areas (fresh graduates are welcome)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong organization skills
- Able to work well independently and with others
- Proficient in common software like Microsoft Office
- Experience in general laboratory techniques and aseptic tissue culture techniques will be preferred
