The Opportunity

The Associate Professor will lead strategic projects related to developing, recognising and promoting teaching excellence across the University. A key focus of the role will involve designing and delivering programs, workshops and events that support the development of teaching and assessment practices among academics, and which facilitate their recognition at Monash University. An ability to engage, educate and inspire academic staff to develop their educational practice will be integral to this role. In addition, the role will involve the design and development of learning resources and modules to support staff professional learning. This will require high level management of strategic projects and effective skills in stakeholder engagement and management, working productively with academic and professional staff across the University.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral qualification or an equivalent and significant experience in the educational development of staff. Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, contemporary approaches to teaching, learning and assessment, and effective teaching practice, both online and in person, is important in this role. The successful candidate will have demonstrated academic excellence, strong interpersonal skills and extensive understanding of the higher education sector.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
