Assistant Lecturer or Teaching Assistant in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (Ref.: 515938) (to commence on September 1, 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least six years’ proven work experience as a reporter, editor, and/or producer in the newsroom. A good command of written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge of other Asian languages and teaching experience would be an advantage. They should also have a solid understanding of news and social media landscape in Hong Kong and a good grasp of digital verification tools.
The appointee will assist the faculty to supervise the fact-checking project Annie Lab (https://annielab.org) and teaching relevant courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He/She is expected to assist in research projects, publications and events where necessary.
