One of seven Academic Units, UniSA STEM offers a wide range of degrees and conducts world-class research in the fields of engineering, mathematics, science, defence, cybersecurity, construction management, environmental science, aviation, information management, information technology and project management.

About the Position

This senior position is responsible for the strategic direction, quality and performance of UniSA STEM. It leads the high-quality delivery of academic programs and research, enables impactful research and research training, and spearheads the Unit’s industry engagement.

Given the diverse disciplines represented in the Academic Unit, strategic and innovative leadership within a large and complex organisation is critical to the role, as is experience of people management and developing and maintaining strong and sustained national and global partnerships.

Candidates will demonstrate outstanding academic leadership or bring a strong relevant experience and engagement from industry or business. You will also exhibit the business acumen to deliver efficient and effective services, complex initiatives, and projects. Outstanding communication skills and a data-led approach to decision making are essential, as is the ability to influence, inspire, think creatively and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
