Job Description

The Research Assistant will work in a research project aimed at developing a soft robot arm inspired to the octopus arm, for underwater manipulation.

The job includes: 

  • studying the octopus arm reaching movement and defining the main requirements for the robot arm. 
  • designing the soft robot arm and identifying the required technologies.
  • fabricating the soft robot arm and testing it experimentally.
  • collaborating with team members working on the robot arm modelling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Expertise in soft robotics
  • Experience in experimental research
