Research Engineer required to support work a programme that aims to improve our understanding of microbial influence corrosion. The culturing microbiological organisms and testing their impact on the corrosion of ferrous metals, by bot weight loss and electrochemical methods, along with analysis of the corrosion products (Raman, XRD, XPS and SEM). The successful candidate will also be expected to perform some adhoc addition admin duties related to safety and purchasing.
- B.Eng in Materials Science & Engineering or related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of corrosion mechanisms or electrochemistry is also required.
