Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 515919), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a specialist qualification or a higher degree in Public Health. They should have at least 10 years’ experience in clinical service, teaching, and/or advocacy of public health/global health issues.  They should demonstrate a strong commitment to education and support for students, and excellent communication and mentoring skills. Experience working in international health/development agencies, ministries or consultancy firms is highly desirable.

The appointee will contribute to the teaching of courses in globalization, global health governance and policy setting, health system, planetary health and other related fields at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  He/She will provide guidance and support to the field placement of BASc(GHD) and practicum of MPH, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
