Research Associate, Precision Medicine Health Economics

Job Description

Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health 

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN PRECISION MEDICINE HEALTH ECONOMICS

We are seeking a Research Associate to join a multi-disciplinary research team to conduct health economics and outcomes research work in particular in the area of predictive risk modelling.

The position provides the candidate a great opportunity to develop big data predictive analytic skills and work with international experts in respiratory medicine, health economics, industry and policy regulators. The job holder will be involved in research projects related to individualized predictive modelling, Bayesian network analysis, clinical utility analysis and economic evaluations of precision medicine. The job holder will be an integral part of several research projects with responsibilities including: systematic review, data analysis, and preparation of scientific papers. The job holder will work closely with Assistant Professor Chen Wenjia, as well as local, regional, and international experts in health economics and outcomes research, respiratory medicine and public health agency.

This full-time position is based at the Tahir Foundation Building at National University of Singapore. The position has a 1 year of contract in the first instance and could be extended.

Requirements:

  • Master degrees in statistics, applied math, applied economics or public health/epidemiology.
  • Very good statistical analytic skills in particular in predictive risk modelling and Bayesian statistics.
  • At least 2 years hands-on experiences in data management and analysis using standard software programs such R, Stata, python.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
