The AMMLab laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate to work on developing open microfluidics for single cell manipulation and analysis.

The successful applicant will drive a fascinating project on the emerging concept of open microfluidics and integrated microfluidic probes. Our laboratory has recently developed the technology of 3D printing of microfluidic probes and their integration with dielectrophoresis and elecropermeabilization for single cell manipulation. The candidate will further advance the technology for several other biological applications, and will also contribute to other projects by developing microfluidic devices for different biomedical applications. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, PhD students, and Master-level full-time researchers.

Applicants must, or expected to, have a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Intensive prior knowledge and experience in experimental microfluidics and electromechanical systems are essential. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in high volume, and capability to be involved with various multi-disciplinary projects are required.
